Hi, I’m Rachel—also known as HoopRambler.
My hoop journey began in 2017 as a path toward self-empowerment, body connection, and rebuilding my confidence. What started as a simple curiosity quickly grew into a profound personal practice. The hoop gave me a space to reconnect with myself, explore creative movement, and discover strength I didn’t know I had.
In 2021, at age 41, I committed to a 365-day Hoop Challenge on Instagram. That year of daily dedication unlocked major skill level-ups, ignited a deep passion for video creation, and introduced me to an incredibly supportive global flow community. Even after passing Day 1,000, my daily practice remains a sacred part of my life.
Today, I share that passion as an instructor at retreats like Cheeselandia Hoop Affair and High Altitude Hoop Retreat, while building toward local classes and workshops. Whether I’m teaching on the ground, filming unique video concepts, or letting my spooky October alter-ego—Dolly Rambler—take over, my mission is to inspire others to find their own power, play, and presence through movement.
My Flow Style & Props
While Hula Hoops will always be my first love—in every size, color, and quantity—I also love exploring tech fans, silk fans, dragon staff, and juggling props. My flow is cinematic, musically driven, and emotionally expressive (and sometimes wonderfully weird!). For me, movement is about translating music into visual storytelling that evokes real feeling.
Teaching & Community
I believe the flow community’s greatest strength is offering a judgment-free space for healing, growth, and self-discovery at any stage of life.
Why "Rambling"?
My living room is my daily practice sanctuary, but I love taking my practice anywhere and everywhere. If you ever spot someone exploring a park, trail, or city street with a stack of hoops strapped to her back—that’s probably me. There is inspiration around every corner, and I truly am a Rambler at heart.
