What to Expect: Your First 1-on-1 Flow Session

  

Walking into your first lesson (whether in-person or via Zoom) shouldn’t feel intimidating—it should feel like reconnecting with play.

Here is exactly how we’ll spend our first 60 minutes together:


  • The Vibe Check & Goal Setting: We’ll start with a quick chat about your movement goals. Whether you want to master a specific trick for a festival or you’re looking for a new way to destress after work, I tailor the lesson to your "why."


  • Foundation & Alignment: We’ll check your hoop size and posture. I’ll teach you the "power stance" and the physics of how to keep the hoop moving with ease, not force.


  • The "First Win" Breakthrough: Within the first 20 minutes, we’ll move into your first technical trick. My goal is to get you a "win" early on so you can feel that      spark of confidence.


  • Flow & Transition: I won't just teach you a move; I’ll teach you how to connect them. We’ll work on smooth transitions so your practice starts to look—and      feel—like a dance.


  • The 2026 Digital Takeaway: At the end of our session, you’ll receive a personalized "Practice Roadmap" (and a video recording if we’re virtual) so you know exactly what to work on until we meet again.

Starting as an adult is easy with an Beginner Hoop with PE tubing for on-body flow or a smaller hoop in ¾ or 5/8  for off-body moves. I  also offer shorter 15-minute sessions for discussing general hoop questions (what hoop to buy, how to start, what to wear, etc).


Yes! My first couple years of hooping was via online tutorials and lessons. I offer virtual hula hoop lessons via Zoom where I provide real-time feedback and recorded sessions for practice 


Hula hooping is much more than just a childhood hobby; it’s recognized as a "full-body movement therapy" that bridges the gap between traditional fitness and mental wellness.
